Celine Dion appeared
on The Ellen Degeneres Show to
discuss the upcoming release of her new album, Loved Me Back To Life, but the conversation quickly turned to fashion
and money.
The world-famous singer told host Ellen Degeneres that
she’s just listed her waterfront Florida palace for sale, with a $71 million
price tag. Among the amenities of the estate are a 10,000-square-foot main
mansion (complete with eight enormous bedrooms), a guest mansion, a beach
mansion, a pool house, and a tennis center. There is also a full-scale water
park, complete with three swimming pools, a few water slides, and a lazy river.
Dion’s dedicated master shoe closet is perhaps most
remarkable of all. It will accommodate “maybe 3,000″ pairs of shoes, according
to the singer and features an electronic, mechanized rack system to help keep
the shoes organized. Neither Ellen nor Celine discussed what such a treasure of
footwear might be worth, but the singer laughingly made clear that the shoe
collection was not included in the $71 million purchase price.
“For $71 million, throw your shoes in,” Ellen
suggested.
